Stew Stender



Stew Stender is the founder and Managing Partner of Stewart Capital Partners LLC, a Minneapolis based firm focused on the acquisition of private operating companies as well as commercial real estate investments. He serves on the boards of a number of the portfolio companies owned by Stewart Capital Partners’ related entities.


Prior to founding Stewart Capital Partners, Stew was a Partner at Trammell Crow Company and subsequently led several other development and commercial real estate investment companies. He has been a Trustee of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts (Minneapolis, MN), Fairview Southdale Hospital (Edina, MN), and the Mystic Seaport Museum (Mystic, CT). Stew served as President of the Minnesota Chapter of NAIOP (The Commercial Real Estate Development Association) and has been an active board member of several other civic and non-profit entities.


Stew graduated from the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and received his MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota.

Sue has over twenty years’ experience working as an office administrator in the Twin Cities area. She is thrilled to be working at Stewart Capital Partners, and enjoys having the opportunity to provide high-level customer service and administrative support to our clients. Prior joining the firm, Sue worked with the corporate leadership teams of the CBRE Minneapolis/St. Paul Brokerage and Global Business Continuity teams.


Outside the office, Sue enjoys spending time with her family and friends. A native of Gays Mills, Wisconsin, she resides in Eagan, MN, with her husband, Kirk. Sue’s interests include travel, gardening, pottery art, music, local theatre and the daily antics of their Cairn Terrier, Lucy.
